CGCC Held 2017 Thanksgiving Volunteer Event to Help End Hunger and Homelessness

On November 24, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation for a second year joined hands with Crossroads Community Service, sponsored and served a hearty Thanksgiving dinner for people in need at St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City.

About 20 CGCC volunteers including representatives from CITIC Group New York Office, Broad U.S.A., Bank of China New York Branch, SINOPEC America & SINOPEC USA Representative Office, BOC International (USA), and Firsd Tea North America and CGCC staff members joined the volunteer event.

Starting from 2014, Crossroads Community Services hosts this annual Thanksgiving Dinner on the Friday after Thanksgiving at St Bart’s Church to end hunger and homelessness. The Dinner has brought more than 1,000 people from New York and beyond together, including soup kitchen guests, pantry shoppers, shelter guests, food rescue volunteers, financial supporters, cooks, local businesses and many more, to sit side-by-side and share with the broader community an extraordinary dinner. This is the second year that CGCC and CGCC Foundation sponsored the event and joined the volunteer group.

CGCC and CGCC Foundation present heartfelt thanks to all members in support of this initiative. CGCC Foundation will continue helping Chinese enterprises in the US to better fulfill corporate social responsibility through various programs.
