CGCC Co-Hosts Seminar with Littler Mendelson P.C.
October 4, 2013 -- CGCC co-hosted a seminar with Associate Member Littler Mendelson P.C. at the Cornell Club in New York to provide Chinese businesses in the U.S. with important updates on labor and employment laws. Near 50 members had participated the session.
Littler Mendelson P.C. is the largest U.S.-based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in employment, employee benefits and labor law matters. Mr. Philip M. Berkowitz, the U.S. practice co-chair of Littler's International Employment Law Practice Group, shared his knowledge and insight about the latest laws and trends affecting Chinese employers with operations in the United State and provided examples demonstrating major concerns of labor contracts regarding compensation, insurance, pension in Hiring and retaining stage. Mr. Jiang Junlu, guest speaker, from King & Wood Mallesons, the largest law firm headquartered outside of the US or the UK, shared his perspective towards differences distinguished between U.S. and China with examples from his distinctive globalized experience in labor laws.
