On January 22, 2021, China General Chamber of Commerce – Washington D.C. kicked off 2021 with an online forum titled, “Tax and trade policy outlook under the Biden administration”. Over 110 business leaders and guests across the United States participated in the discussion.

President, Xu Tan delivered the welcoming remarks, where he emphasized
education, thought leadership and information sharing as a core mission for
CGCC-D.C. Taking the opportunity of 2021’s first event, Mr. Tan also delivered
his new year’s greeting to all CGCC members, urging the Chinese business
community to be a driving force of US and global economic recovery.
The webinar convened a panel of distinguished tax policy
professionals from Ernst & Young to share their insights on the tax policy
trends after the 2020 election at corporate and individual levels. Speakers
discussed topics such as the likelihood of a new federal tax bill, trends of
state tax reforms, and potential impacts on corporations and high-net-worth
individuals.
