On April 3rd, 2024, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA co-hosted a reception for US Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago and China International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce WANG Shouwen in Washington, D.C.

Gathering more than 100 members of the U.S.-China business communities, including 20 representatives from CGCC member companies, the event was held to kick off the first meeting of the Commercial Issues Working Group.   

Chairman of CGCC, President & CEO of Bank of China U.S.A., Wei HU, stressed the significance of the gathering during his remarks, “As we come together in this room, we symbolize not just the partnership and friendship between the United States and China but also the enduring spirit of cooperation and mutual respect that guides our relationship forward.”
