This year’s competition gathered a record number of participants for an exciting day of ping pong 

On Sunday, October 30th, 2022, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA and China Construction America successfully hosted the 11th “CCA Cup” Table Tennis Invitational at the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center in Dunellen, New Jersey. 

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s competition marked the most amount of teams, participants, and spectators in its history.

The 2022 “CCA Cup“ saw the participation of 13 teams and approximately 50 participants. Participating teams included: the Chinese Consulate General in New York, Xinhua News Agency North America, Bank of China U.S.A., Agricultural Bank of China New York Branch, China Construction Bank New York Branch, ICBC US Region Management Committee, China Merchants Bank New York Branch, HNA North America, Dorsey & Whitney, and a joint team of Galaxy3 LLC and Hylant.

In the team competition, the Chinese Consulate General clenched the CCA Cup title while Xinhua News Agency North America was the runner-up. The teams of ICBC US Region Management Committee and China Construction America tied for third place.

The individual competition was organized by age group, with the “Above 40” competition and “40 & below” competition. In the “Above 40” competitionYing Wang clenched the winning title. Wang was followed by Fang Wan and third place winners Zheshan He and Donald Tan.

In the  “Below 40” competition, Rensong Wan clenched the title while Cheng Chen was the runner-up, and Yuzhao Liu and Minjun Yin tied for third place.

CGCC was honored to have Ambassador Huang Ping, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in New York join the event and give brief remarks as well as present the awards to the competition winners.

For their wonderful sportsmanship and spirit, team spirit awards were given to all participating teams in the competition. 

CGCC  congratulates all of the competition winners on their wonderful performances and sincerely thanks event co-host China Construction America, all participating teams, and individuals who helped make this year’s tournament a great success.
