On the evening of February 13th, 2024, the Brooklyn Nets hosted their Annual Chinese New Year Celebration Game to commemorate the Chinese New Year at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The Chinese New Year game is part of the Nets Unite platform which seeks to build unity, celebrate culture, and foster equity by amplifying the rich traditions of its diverse community.

A group of representatives from CGCC member companies had the opportunity to attend the game and a special reception beforehand.

Sam Zussman, CEO of BSE Global, and Ping HUANG, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York kicked off the game, exchanging new year greetings and gifts.

For this special celebration game, the Barclay’s Center was decorated with festive Chinese red and each attendee received “red envelopes” to share the joy and auspiciousness of the New Year.

Presented by Venturant Group, supporting partner of the Nets’ Chinese New Year game, the Nets hosted their first-ever Chinese Cuisine Carnival. Located outside Section 23, the carnival showcased food from six different authentic Chinese culinary brands.

In addition to traditional Chinese food, fans were treated to an exciting performance during halftime by Yitai Wang (3HO), one of the most popular hip hop artists in China.

The Game also featured special dance routines from Team Hype and the Brooklynettes that celebrate Chinese culture.

To celebrate the Year of the Dragon and to mark the occasion, 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN), presenting partner of the evening, collaborated with the Nets to create a custom Lunar New Year merchandise line featuring two crewneck sweatshirts and a t-shirt.

CGCC congratulates BSE Global, the CGCC 2024 Gala Outstanding Community Contribution Award Honoree, and the Brooklyn Nets on another successful Chinese New Year Celebration game and looks forward to witnessing the companies’ future contributions to the community.
