CGCC Donates More than 400 Toys to NY Governor's 2020 Holiday Toy, Coat, and School Supply Drive featured image

On December 18th, 2020, China General Chamber of Commerce –
USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation participated in Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s
annual holiday toy, coat, and school supply drive, bringing happiness and
spreading holiday cheer to children across New York State in these difficult
times.

2020 marks the fourth year in a row that CGCC and CGCC
Foundation participated in this heartwarming initiative. This year, CGCC
contributed more than 420 new toys to the drive.

Together, with the generous help from friends, CGCC team
members hand-delivered hundreds of toys to the Jacob Javits Convention Center
in Manhattan, for distribution to families in underserved communities
throughout New York State.

During his televised COVID-19 briefing on December 23rd, Governor Andrew Cuomo expressed his gratitude to CGCC for its donation, “We want to thank Walmart and the China General Chamber of Commerce and literally the hundreds of New Yorkers who donated toys."

CGCC sincerely thanks CGCC members for their long-term support of this initiative as well as the Office of the Governor (NY) for inviting CGCC to take part in the drive.  

CGCC and CGCC Foundation will continue to give back to the local community and help Chinese enterprises in the U.S. to better fulfill corporate social responsibility through charity programs.
