CGCC Hosts Farewell Banquet For Ambassador Peng Keyu

On June 27th, 2011, the China General Chamber of Commerce -- USA hosted a banquet for Peng Keyu, the Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in New York, at the Chart House restaurant on the west bank of the Hudson River.  Ambassador Peng and his wife will be leaving his post in New York and returning to China.

 

 

 

Those who attended the banquet included President of CGCC Mr. Yuan Ning, Vice President Ms. He Sujuan, Mr. Hao Xiaohui, Representative of the Vice President Mr. Wang Shihui, Mr. Huang Jian, Executive Board Member Mr. Zhou Yuelong, Mr. Zhang Bing, Mr. Li Xuehai, Mr. Bi Mingqiang, Mr. Li Wei, Secretary General Mr. Richard Huang, and others. Commercial Counselor of China in New York Mr. Xu Bing was also in attendance along with the rest of his consular colleagues.

During the banquet, Mr. Yuan, Ms. He, Mr. Hao and others were eager to speak in gratitude towards Ambassador Peng, recalling the three-year tenure during which he provided CGCC and its member enterprises with generous support and overseas Chinese Americans and Chinese students with care.  The guests expressed their appreciation towards Ambassador Peng's contributions to various fields as international relations, overseas relations, and commerce, and their regret to the event of the Ambassador's leaving. Likewise, Ambassador Peng expressed his gratitude towards the Chamber's longtime support of the Consulate-General and its work.
