On November 23, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation joined hands with Crossroads Community Services for a third consecutive year to sponsor and serve a hearty Thanksgiving dinner to people in need as part of “Fare Share Friday” at St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City.

About 10 CGCC volunteers including representatives from China CITIC Group New York Office, Douglas Elliman, Greenland USA, and CGCC staff members joined the volunteer event.

Since 2014, Crossroads Community Services has hosted the “Fare Share Friday” Thanksgiving dinner on the Friday after Thanksgiving in effort to end hunger and homelessness. Every year, the unique event brings together New Yorkers from all walks of life, such as soup kitchen guests, pantry shoppers, shelter guests, food rescue volunteers, financial supporters, professional chefs, and more to sit side-by-side and share an extraordinary dinner prepared by chefs from prestigious New York City landmark hotels.
This year, a dinner prepared by chefs from Intercontinental New York Barclay, New York Hilton Midtown and Lotte New York Palace was served to the event’s 330+ guests.

CGCC and CGCC Foundation extends a heartfelt thanks to all of its volunteers and members in support of this initiative. CGCC Foundation will continue to give back to the local community and help Chinese enterprises in the US to better fulfill corporate social responsibility through these charity programs.
