Washington D.C. November 8, 2017 - China General Chamber of Commerce – Washington D.C. visited the US National Arboretum for a meeting with leaders of the National China Garden Foundation. The President of National China Garden Foundation, former Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Labor, Mr. Samuel Tingsing Mok met with CGCC-D.C. members to introduce the China Garden project and discuss opportunities for Chinese enterprises to participate in the project. The China Garden project is a 12-acre traditional Chinese style garden and culture center to be built in the Arboretum. Supported by governments and businesses in both China and the US, the China Garden will serve as a tangible expression of friendship between the two countries, a celebration of their cultural histories, and an ideal space for China-related public activities. After the meeting, CGCC-D.C. members took a guided tour of the National Arboretum, led by the Foundation’s Vice President, Jeanne Connelly.
