

On February 20th, 2025, the China General Chamber of Commerce- USA (CGCC) co-hosted a welcoming reception with the Bank of China U.S.A. for a delegation of over 60 members from the Chinese Catering industry. Jointly organized by the U.S. Embassy in China and Tomato Capital, CGCC member companies, including Bank of China, Shanghai Construction Group America, Dorsey and Whitney LLP, and CLB Management, participated in the event, sharing their investment and operational experiences in the U.S. as well as the latest industry information.

Chunya Chen, Manager of the Bank of China Queens Branch, introduced the bank's operations in the US and the related services and products to assist Chinese catering businesses investing in the US.


Partner and Chair of the U.S.-China Practice Group at Dorsey and Whitney LLP, Catherine Pan and Partner Ting Zhou provided legal advice on North American greenfield investments and US investment operations for Chinese catering businesses expanding overseas.

Jason Zheng, F&B Director at SCG America Group, shared first-hand observations on Chinese restaurant brands going global and U.S. commercial real estate from an operator's perspective.

COO and CFO of CLB Management Jonathan Niu shared the latest industry information on the meat industry.

Shuting Xu, Senior Manager of Development and Communications at CGCC, introduced CGCC’s resources and services that support cross-border trade and investment.

Wei Hu, Chairman of CGCC and President and CEO of Bank of China USA, delivered closing remarks and shared advice on legal compliance, brand building, and community service.
