Chinese Enterprise Association Inc held Real Estate Investment Forum and Real Estate Committee Founding Ceremony at San Francisco
The 2015 CEA/CGCC San Francisco Chapter Real Estate Investment Forum and Reals Estate Committee Founding Ceremony was held on May 28, 2015 at City Club of San Francisco. Over one hundred attendees from over 60 organizations got together discussing the real estate market trend in San Francisco Bay Area and sharing the experience of investing in the U.S. real estate market.
Xia Xiang, Economic and Commercial Counselor from Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China, Ben Chen, Chairman of Chinese Enterprise Association, Chairman of CGCC San Francisco Chapter, and General Manager of China Unicom (Americas) Co., Ltd., Bruce Pickering, Executive Director of Asia Society gave the inspiring welcome speeches to encourage all the Chinese enterprises to follow the trend of globalization and expand their business portfolio by investing and operating in the U.S. In addition, all of them stressed that the goal of the organizations that they represent is to establish a favorable environment for Chinese enterprises and facilitate these companies to complete the localization. Arthur Wang, Chairman of CEA Real Estate Committee and President of Zarsion America Inc. introduced the newly-established CEA Real Estate Committee and its members. CEA R/E Committee emerges with the increasing presence of Chinese real estate developers and builders in the U.S., especially in San Francisco Bay Area. The executives of CEA and R/E Committee are aiming at improving the communication among Chinese companies as well as between Chinese and U.S. companies to achieve the goal of a greater prosperity.
Professor Ken Rosen from University of California, Berkley shared his research result regarding the real estate market in San Francisco Bay Area with the breakdown of several sub-markets. He also included some macroeconomic factors that fundamentally affect the U.S. economy. Two panels were held to discuss what the Chinese real estate developers should know before, during and after making the investment in the U.S., and how they should work with their local partners. Professionals from both Chinese and U.S. companies shared their hands-on experience and answered many questions that the attendees have in common.
This forum brought different parties together to share the minds. The ceremony also indicates the official initiation of CEA Real Estate Committee and its journey ahead.
