NEW YORK, July 15, 2022 - China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (“CGCC”)and CGCC Foundation are pleased to announce the exhibition Under the Same Sky, in partnership with The Office of Arts Education, District 75 (D75) Citywide Programs of the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) and Positive Exposure.

On view July 1st through the 30th at the Positive Exposure Gallery (14 E 109th Street, New York, NY), the exhibition showcases artwork created by student artists with special needs from across New York City and Beijing.

Displaying a diverse range of artistic mediums such as drawings, paintings, and sculptures, the exhibition aims to empower the student artists by recognizing their identities as global citizens living “under the same sky,” breaking down barriers to further support career trajectories in the arts.

“CGCC and CGCC Foundation are very proud to partner with the NYCDOE’s Office of Arts Education and the China Disabled Persons' Federation to showcase the talented artwork of student artists with special needs from across New York City and Beijing, said Wei HU, Chairman of CGCC, President and CEO of Bank of China U.S.A.

“By creating a shared understanding between the United States and China, CGCC Foundation hopes to install the foundations that will lead to stronger professional connections through shared experiences. These connections are further anchored on continuous partnerships between Chinese and U.S. organizations to foster communication and growth.”

On July 12th, CGCC, District 75, and Positive Exposure came together to celebrate this partnership at an opening reception for the exhibition at the exhibition space. The reception gave guests the opportunity to admire the artworks and celebrate the shared vision that students can use art as a way to inspire the public, illuminating their minds to change how people view humanity.

CGCC and CGCC Foundation are excited to continue this partnership with District 75 and Positive Exposure throughout the coming months.
