On June 1, 2018, CGCC hosted a lunch meeting with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York (JCCI) to enhance mutual understanding and explore cooperation opportunities between the Chinese and Japanese business communities in the US. Mr. Hidemoto Mizuhara, President of JCCI and President and CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), along with leadership from MUFG Bank, Ltd., Toray Industries (America), Inc. and Nomura Holding America Inc. attended the meeting.

Various topics were discussed during the meeting. The participants shared the situation and experiences of foreign entities’ business operation in the US under the President Trump’s administration, and their response strategies to handle emerging situations such as the increasing difficulty of obtaining working visa for expatriates, and gender balance in company leadership. JCCI also introduced its upcoming plans, and both sides looked forward to the potential cooperation.
