On Monday, March 18th, 2024, a delegation of over 20 leaders from prominent food and beverage companies in China visited New York as part of a recent trip to the United States. The delegation, which was formed and led by the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, started their weeklong trip across the U.S. in New York, where they had the opportunity to learn about investment opportunities and hear about the successful investment experiences of Chinese companies.

As part of its efforts to encourage further investment and cooperation between Chinese and American companies, CGCC was honored to work with the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the U.S. Department of Commerce to provide opportunities for the delegation to visit and interact with various local CGCC member companies such as Fosun and SCG America.
This partnership comes in the lead-up to the annual SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, D.C., taking place from June 23rd to June 26th.
The delegation began their visit to New York by touring 28 Liberty, a prominent skyscraper in Lower Manhattan.
Jason Berkeley, COO of Four Trees, gave the potential investors a tour of the lower level of the building, the site of a future food hall.

After their tour, the delegation was treated by Wei BO, CGCC Vice-Chair, Fosun Global Partner, and Co-President of Fosun Hive Overseas, with afternoon tea and a gorgeous view of Lower Manhattan from the Manhatta, a restaurant and event venue located at 28 Liberty.

After their visit to 28 Liberty, the delegation traveled to Flushing, Queens, where they visited the Tangram Mall, co-developed by CGCC member company SCG America.
While visiting the mall, the delegation had the opportunity to hear from Winfred ZHANG, CGCC Board Director and President of SCG America Group.

CGCC sincerely thanks CGCC board members Wei BO and Winfred ZHANG for their support and generosity in helping to ensure a successful delegation visit.
CGCC looks forward to continuing its partnerships with the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the U.S. Commercial Service to encourage further foreign direct investment in the United States.
