NEW YORK - On November 21st, 2019, CGCC’s 15th Anniversary Photo Contest successfully came to a close.

Organized by China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation, CGCC’s 15th Anniversary Photo Contest aimed to highlight the success and impact of Chinese investment and cooperation across America and the collaboration and friendship between Chinese businesses in the U.S. and their local American partners and communities. 

Open to individuals and companies, entrants were asked to submit up to six photographs relating in some shape or form to the broader theme of U.S. - China Cooperation.

CGCC’s 15th Anniversary Photo Contest Key Statistics:

  • 20,000 + visits to the contest website
  • A total of 17, 302 votes received during the voting period
  • 233 photo entries received across all three photo contest themes (Business Cooperation, People, Experience)

From company team building activities and cultural exchanges to depicting the work environment inside Chinese companies in the U.S., the photo contest received a diverse array of submissions that together, emphasize the importance of the U.S.-China bilateral relationship.

A total of five photographs with the highest number of votes were deemed the photo contest winners. The contest winners include China Telecom Americas (Company Entry), PetroChina International (America)  (Company Entry), BO Wei, Fosun International Limited (Individual Entry), China Construction America (Company Entry) and YCI Methanol One LLC (Company Entry). 

The company prize winners will win the opportunity to be a title sponsor of CGCC’s daily bilingual newsletter, CGCC Today’s Headlines, for one month in the upcoming year. The individual prize winner will receive two tickets to the CGCC 2020 Lunar New Year Gala, with two domestic round-trip Delta flight vouchers and a two-night stay in a double-occupancy hotel room in Midtown Manhattan. In addition, all of the winning photos will be displayed at the CGCC 2020 Lunar New Year Gala on January 8th, 2020.

“One World Trade Center (also known as One WTC) is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. With 94 floors above ground and 5 floors underground, the iconic, 1,776 feet tower is the tallest building in the United States and playing a preeminent role in the resurgence of Lower Manhattan. The design of One WTC consisted of simple symmetries and a more traditional profile, intended to compare with selected elements of the contemporary New York skyline. This picture shoot at a sunset night in 2014, captured the silhouette of the WTC redevelopment and New Yorkers’ tenacious spirit.”
