CGCC Successfully Holds 2014 Annual Golf Competition

June 7, 2014 – CGCC New York Branch successfully held its annual golf match with member companies at the famous PGA recognized golf course, Upper Montclair Country Club in Montclair, New Jersey.
Twenty four contestants took part in the golf competition, including Chinese Consulate General in New York Ambassador Sun Guoxiang and Consul Representative Li Yifan. Contestants were split into groups of four before beginning their rounds of 18 holes.
When all groups had finished their rounds, awards were given to competitors according to lowest total score, longest drive, and fewest number of putts, among other acknowledgements.
The competitors enjoyed dinner together after the competition and Ambassador Sun Guoxiang gave a speech thanking China General Chamber of Commerce – U.S.A. for organizing this wonderful event. In his speech, Mr. Sun acknowledge that CGCC events such as this one help to promote exchange between Chinese companies in the United States. Mr. Sun expressed that he hopes CGCC will continue to sponsor events such as this for many years to come.
