Turkey Distribution Provides Support For New Yorkers Facing Food Insecurity

November 23, 2021 -  CGCC Foundation joined organizations across New York State in supporting Governor Kathy Hochul’s turkey distribution initiative, which provided 3,200 households across every region throughout New York State with a turkey in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

"CGCC Foundation is proud to be working with the governor's office to help engage and unite the local communities during this holiday season and in the years to come," said Chen Xu, Chairman of the China General Chamber of Commerce-USA; President and CEO of Bank of China U.S.A.

"The pandemic has brought unprecedented hardship onto so many New York families. I'm proud to have recently made the Nourish New York program permanent to battle food insecurity and we are thankful to the kindness of corporations statewide and Feeding NYS for working with us to ensure 3,200 households will have turkeys on their tables this Thanksgiving holiday," Governor Hochul said.

The NY Governor’s turkey distribution program is part of the many holiday donation, and volunteer programs CGCC and CGCC Foundation take part in annually to give back and support local communities. Other programs and initiatives include the Annual Gala, Holiday Toy Drive, and more.
