On Thursday, May 24th, 2024, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA and Dorsey & Whitney LLP co-hosted an intimate executive roundtable event to welcome a delegation from the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce (SFIC). 

Conducted in Chinese, around 40 members from CGCC member companies attended the afternoon event held at the offices of Dorsey & Whitney in Midtown, Manhattan. 

During the event, members of the SFIC delegation spoke about the importance of U.S-China economic cooperation and presented on the rich investment opportunities that Shanghai has to offer.  

The event included remarks from Vice-Chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce (SFIC), Jianming WANG. 

Peter Reisman, Co-Chair of the CGCC Government and Public Relations Committee, Chief Communications Officer & Managing Director at Bank of China U.S.A., spoke on behalf of CGCC, where he emphasized the importance of connecting members of the two business communities and overall U.S.-China business cooperation.

Catherine PAN, Partner and Chair of the U.S.-China Practice at Dorsey & Whitney LLP gave an informative presentation on trends within China-U.S. investment and trade. 

Qianqian Chen, Chief Relationship Officer at SCG America Group and Tony ZHOU from DeHeng Chen, LLC, spoke about their experiences as CGCC member companies.

The event included remarks from several other members of SFIC including Wei SHEN, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Songjiang District Industry and Commerce Federation; Zhongwei YU, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Fengxian District Industry and Commerce Federation; Humin JIN, President of the Shanghai People Enterprise (Group) Co., LTD; Zhilin YANG, Regional Director of Wind Information Technology Co. LTD, and Liang ZHANG, Chairman of  Shanghai Huaming Intelligent Terminal Equipment Co., LTD.
