
On August 1st, 2023, “Shanghai, Homeland Once Upon a Time — Jewish Refugees and Shanghai,” opened at Fosun Plaza in downtown Manhattan.

The exhibition, which is on view until August 14th, includes more than 200 photos, 30 pieces of replica memorabilia, and a documentary film, to highlight the lives and experiences of Jewish refugees who fled Nazi persecution in Europe and settled in Shanghai during World War II.
CGCC Vice-Chair; Global Partner of Fosun; Co-President of Fosun Hive Overseas and Executive Chief Representative of Fosun New York Office Wei BO, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York Ping HUANG, Vice President of Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Ying JING and other prominent guests participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Over 150 guests and 20 members of the media attended the exhibition’s opening.
The opening was hosted by the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Fosun Foundation and was supported by the Consulate General of the United States of America in Shanghai and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York.
