China Southern Airlines Hosted A Celebratory Dinner And Product Presentation

New York (November 16, 2018) China Southern Airlines hosted a celebratory dinner and product presentation at midtown Manhattan’s legendary Harvard Club in New York on Friday, November 16, 2018, announcing the launch of its first non-stop service between Los Angeles and Shenyang, China servicing three flights weekly in partnership with Delta and American Airlines.

The event was MCeed by award-winning actress Julianne Michelle, who is currently playing Max on the new hit Amazon prime show, New Dogs, Old Tricks. She is known for her starring roles in Awakened, Apartment 1303, and Wim Wender's The House is Burning, for which she won "Best Actress" opposite Oscar-winning actress and co-star Melissa Leo, and many more.
James Cai, China Southern Airlines Director of Sales, conducted a presentation on China Southern Airlines, it's unparalleled accomplishments and features as an airline and its routes and destinations.

Attending the product presentation were Peter Koo, a New York City Councilman and Mr. Shanqing Zhou, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York.
After brief speeches by Mr. Hou Ming, Head of China Southern Airlines North America, who spoke about the history of China Southern and showed the guests visual evidence of the airlines’ commitment to New York and the US, guests enjoyed a heartfelt performance by Lucia Bradford, an African American music teacher of New York City school, PS 130, who sang three Chinese classics in their native Chinese language.

The three-per -week flights commence operation on December 18, between Shenyang, China’s fourth largest city and capital of the northeast region of the country.

Joining the airline's New York-based executives for some muti-cultural entertainment were Instagram Influencers Holly Pan, a Fashion Consultant and Patrick Janelle, who won the CFDA’s first Fashion Instagrammer of the Year Award.

Rinze Van Brug, a Dutch-American photographer and visual artist living in New York did a speed painting of China Southern’s iconic logo using fairy dust and sparkling diamonds.

“This was an effort by China Southern to showcase its commitment to the US and improving relations and communication between the two countries ,: said Kevin Hou Ming, who thanked the attendees with a raffle contest where the prize was a round-trip ticket to China on the airline.
