Support Low-Income University Students during COVID-19 through CGCC’s Remote Education and Living Initiative (REAL)

Dear CGCC Members and Friends,

The ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic has greatly altered the lives of millions across the globe. While many have been privileged with smooth and easy transitions to remote learning, working, and socializing, others have been less fortunate and have lost their jobs and livelihoods. Among those who have experienced great disadvantages as a result of the pandemic, include university students from low-income families.

Many low-income university students who previously relied on their university’s resources to successfully complete their work, are now unable to access these resources and smoothly receive online remote education. At the same time, many are also struggling to support themselves, having lost their part-time jobs due to the pandemic.

In effort to support these disadvantaged university students at this time, CGCC Foundation has launched the Remote Education and Living Initiative (the “REAL” Initiative) to help these students with their remote education and living needs during this difficult time.

Led by CGCC’s Washington D.C. chapter, the REAL Initiative invites your company to donate its used computers and or cash and in-kind donations to support these students at this time of need.

For more information on how your company can participate, please contact CGCC-D.C. via WashingtonDC@cgccusa.org.

We would like to express our sincerest appreciation for your help and support at this time. We are all in this together!

Sincerely,
CGCC Foundation
