Successful Completion of the Foundation of the Hailiang Texas Copper Manufacturing Plant was Celebrated During Recent Ceremony

On July 23rd, 2021, the successful completion of the foundation of the Hailiang Texas Copper Manufacturing Plant was celebrated during a a recent ceremony in Sealy, Texas.

China Hailiang Group, a CGCC Houston Member, is one of China’s largest exporters of copper pipes and fittings. Upon full completion, Hailiang’s Texas manufacturing plant will include 44,000 square meters of workshops, office space, affiliated buildings, and other facilities.

“The completion of all the major equipment foundations is an important milestone for the Hailiang Texas project, which symbolizes that the project is ready to receive all the major production equipment, a critical step for the plant to start production.” Said by project executive, Mr. Bing Jia, who expressed his great sincereness to all the cooperative partners and site workers who contributed to this success. He also extended his gratitude to the City of Sealy staff for their continuous support during the construction. He said “we are very proud of being part of this prestigious project, and we will be excited to see its completion by working together with all the parties involved. We are grateful for the opportunity to extend our services into Texas and grow together with local communities.”

Warren Escovy, city manager, praised the excellent project management capability of the project team. He said “the smooth completion of the equipment foundation could not have been achieved without the team’s orderly construction arrangements and the ability to respond to the external changes. I’m sincerely looking forward to the job opportunities the project will create upon completion and expect to see the new economic vitality the project will bring to the city.”

The project owner, Zhejiang Hailiang Co, Ltd. thanked all of those involved in the successful completion of the construction project and looks forward to the final completion of the plant.   The subcontractor representatives present also briefly spoke, encouraging all site workers to reach the next construction milestone.

With the safe delivery of all electrical equipment, the project team is moving at full speed with the installation of electrical equipment along with the office fit-outs and the installation of HVAC system. Upon completion, the plant will go on to produce high-end copper products, which will create nearly 250 job opportunities in the local market.
