NEW YORK, September 12, 2026 — Fourteen teams took to the courts at CityPickle in Times Square for the inaugural Bank of China Cup Pickleball Friendship Tournament, presented by the CGCC Foundation in collaboration with Bank of China U.S.A. and Ramsports. The event drew nearly 200 players, guests, and spectators from CGCC member companies and partner organizations.
JPMorganChase emerged as the champion of the event after several rounds of competition. The CITIC Bank International team finished second, followed by the Bank of China New York Branch in third. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) U.S. Region team won the Best Dressed Award, while the team from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York received the Best Team Spirit Award.
The tournament opened with remarks from Deputy Consul General Ma Xiaoxiao; Li Ren, CGCC Vice Chair and President of Bank of China U.S.A.; Jianyu Zhang, CGCC Chair and CEO of ICBC U.S. Region; and Richard Gossett, Co-Founder and CEO of RAMSPORTS. The speakers congratulated the participants and spoke about the role of sports in fostering connections and cooperation.

Beyond the team competition, guests had opportunities to learn about and try pickleball. The program also included a lucky draw and other activities.
