On March 11th, 2020, the World Health Organization announced the COVID-19 (coronavirus) as a global pandemic. The virus continues to spread throughout the world, affecting over 190 countries and impacting the daily lives of trillions of people worldwide. Among the hundreds of countries affected include CGCC’s home, the United States. As the number of confirmed virus cases rise each day,  more and more U.S. Health workers are putting their lives at risk due to a national shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE). 

In an effort to support our national community, China General Chamber of Commerce - USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation are currently working hard to purchase needed medical supplies and donate them to hospitals in need throughout the United States. 

Thanks to the support of our member companies, we have compiled a list of medical supply information from vendors in China to be shared with more hospitals, state governments, and other organizations in need.

We have already confirmed a donation of 3M 1860 masks and ASTM Level 3 masks to Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey, and are currently reaching out to more hospitals throughout the U.S., including Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. At the same time, we are also actively assisting several state governments, such as New York and Connecticut, in procuring medical supplies from China.
