CGCC partners with Moody’s ESG Solutions to host an insightful webinar on ESG trends and Investment

On June 15th, 2021, China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) in partnership with Moody’s ESG Solutions hosted “Harmonization, Integration, and Innovation: Three Trends Shaping the Future of Environmental, Social, and Governance Investing.”

Amid the rising demand for sustainable finance opportunities, Moody’s ESG Solutions’ Rahul Ghosh and Patrick Mispagel provided timely insight into the ways standardized ESG data and reliable risk modeling capabilities are intrinsically vital components to easing the transition to a low-carbon future.

Key takeaways from the event include:

  • While we are seeing a greater policy and regulatory focus on disclosure, the harmonization of ESG data and reporting will require a collective effort from all market players;
  • Standardized ESG data alone is not enough to meet market needs. New models, risk measurement techniques, and innovative analytics will be critical to build systemic organizational resilience;
  • Better sustainability data and performance measures will, in turn, feed innovation in sustainable finance, such as the growth and development of sustainability-linked bonds.
