The China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) welcomes the positive outcomes and constructive spirit demonstrated during last week’s bilateral meeting in Beijing between President Donald J. Trump of the United States and President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China. CGCC believes that continued communication and practical economic engagement between the two countries are important to fostering stable and mutually beneficial commercial relations.

As one of the most impactful independent, non-partisan, non-governmental, and not-for-profit organizations representing the U.S.-China business communities, CGCC underscores the importance of sustained and constructive economic dialogue in supporting a stable, predictable, and cooperative environment for the business communities in both countries.

Consistent with this spirit of meeting, CGCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in Beijing on May 14, 2026. This MOU establishes a framework for ongoing collaboration that reflects the shared commitment of both organizations in promoting business exchanges, information sharing, and industry engagement. Through this partnership, CGCC and USSEC seek to encourage constructive dialogue and practical cooperation across key sectors, contributing to long-term economic growth and long-term economic development and stable commercial relations.

Looking ahead, CGCC will continue to pursue its mission of fostering a friendly, constructive, and supportive environment for its members and remain committed to supporting a collaborative and mutually beneficial cooperation between the U.S. and Chinese business communities.
