CGCC Announces Honorees Ahead of 2022 Lunar New Year Gala

NEW YORK, December 3rd, 2021 – China General Chamber of Commerce–USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation will recognize prominent business leaders and companies for their dedication and exceptional resilience in strengthening the U.S.- China economic relationship at its upcoming 2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger Gala on February 22nd, 2022.

The 2022 Gala will welcome hundreds of old and new friends for an enjoyable evening full of constructive dialogue and communication. Ringing in the Lunar New Year of the Tiger, the Gala will celebrate the “Resilience” of the U.S.-China business communities and show “Appreciation” to impactful companies and leaders while reflecting on the challenges of the past year and anticipating a positive rebound in the months to come.

The CGCC 2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger Gala Honorees are:

Ray Dalio - For exemplifying the principles of reaching the pinnacle of investment and strengthening the U.S.- China relationship through meaningful work

Delaware Prosperity Partnership – For their efforts and dedication to sustainable growth and commitment to long-term U.S.- China economic cooperation

Surge Energy America – For their unyielding spirit and great achievements in the energy industry

The Principle Award

Inspired by the principles upon which businesses are established and thrive, The Principle Award recognizes individuals who are dedicated to encouraging the values of responsible leadership, strategic innovation, and international cooperation.

This year, The Principle Award will be presented to Ray Dalio, Founder, Co-Chairman, and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Bridgewater Associates. Mr. Dalio has been harnessing the power of principles to lay the foundation for Bridgewater’s legendary success as an asset manager and its uniquely pioneering culture. His new book, Principles for Dealing With the Changing World Order, which went on sale on November 30th, illustrates his expertise and understanding of global economies and the U.S.- China relationship. For more than 35 years, Mr. Dalio has been visiting and studying China’s markets through management and consulting projects. His timely perspectives on China have made incredible contributions towards improving knowledge and understanding amongst Americans and Chinese people.

Outstanding Economic Development Partner of the Year Award

The Outstanding Economic Development Partner of the Year Award recognizes companies and institutions that promote concerted efforts and fruitful collaborations to sustain a stronger business and entrepreneurial ecosystem between the United States and China.

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership (DPP) will be honored with the Outstanding Economic Development Partner of the Year Award. As a nonprofit economic development organization, the Delaware Prosperity Partnership (DPP) has been leading Delaware’s economic development efforts to attract, grow and retain businesses since its creation in 2017. With its public-private business development model, fully engaged teams and leadership, and extensive global marketing strategy, DPP works above and beyond to support its local businesses and cross-border trade and investments to the Delaware region.

Outstanding Achievement Award - Energy & Infrastructure

From business performance to corporate social responsibility efforts, the Outstanding Achievement Award aims to highlight companies and organizations in various industries that are actively seeking solutions to critical issues facing business communities and spearheading the transformation to a better future.

Surge Energy America will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award – Energy & Infrastructure.
