Dr. Jianyu Zhang is the President & CEO of ICBC (USA) NA. Dr. Zhang also serves as an Executive Director on ICBC USA’s Board. Prior to her current role in the U.S., Dr. Zhang had served as Deputy General Manager of Private Banking Department of ICBC from 2008 to 2013. In this role, she contributed to the establishment and growth of ICBC’s wealth management business, which soon achieved dominant market share in Chinese market. During this period, ICBC Private banking business had been ranked as Best Private Bank in China by Asian Banker, The Asset, and Euromoney more than once. Prior to that, she also served as the Deputy General Manager of Consumer Banking Department of ICBC. Dr. Zhang holds a doctorate degree in public finance from the Central University of Finance and Economy in China. She was a research fellow at Chinese Academy of Social Science focusing on analysis, trends and strategy advice of offshore private banking. Dr. Zhang is the author of The financial cost of innovation in Chinese banks, China Financial Publishing House, 2008.
