About Speaker
Luping (Norman) Yi is the President and a Board Director of China Communications Construction (USA), Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), a global Fortune 500 company. Mr. Yi has more than 30 years of experience in the infrastructure industry, having previously worked for China Harbor Engineering Company, KBR and the Texas Department of Transportation. Mr. Yi graduated from HoHai University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Yi has served in several leadership roles, including Board Director of Macquarie Development Corporation (MDC) and Board Director of Jamaica North South Highway Company (JNSHC). MDC is a joint venture between Macquarie Capital, CCCC, and Banco Modal, which was formed for the purpose of investing in pre-construction infrastructure development projects in Latin America. JNSHC invested in and developed the 68 km toll road between Kingston and St. Ann’s Bay in Jamaica, which is China’s first overseas highway concession project.
