Lia Cao is a Managing Director, Global Head of Wholesale Payments Solutions and North America Head of Treasury Services (TS) Corporate Sales in J.P.Morgan’s Wholesale Payments business in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). In her solutions role, Lia and her team design and scale uniquely integrated solutions that meet complex client needs, incorporating all aspects of the firm’s holistic payments offering: Global Payments, FX, Merchant Acquiring, Commercial Card, Trade and Digital Retail Banking. Partnering closely with the product organization, Lia is responsible for the overall global solution strategy to maximize commercialization of the firm’s capabilities with some of our largest and most strategic global clients. In her sales role, Lia leads the NA TS Corporate Sales team across all industry segments, covering ~700 NA headquartered large corporations and multi-national corporates. Previously, Lia was the Head of Business Transformation for Treasury Services. In that role she worked across the various wholesale payments businesses within J.P.Morgan Chase and oversaw the governance of client coverage and investment prioritization. Before that, she was the Head of CIB Strategy in the Americas. She also worked in the CIB Chief of Staff Office on strategic execution. Lia joined J.P. Morgan in 2011 in the Corporate Strategy Group and was responsible for leading many cross-line of business initiatives. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Lia worked as an Associate Principal in McKinsey & Company, a leading global management consulting firm. She spent more than five years at McKinsey, serving a wide range of banking and capital markets clients. Lia holds a Ph.D Degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Urban Economics and Real Estate Finance. She holds Bachelor and Master Degrees from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
