About Speaker
Karen R. King is a partner at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello LLP. She serves as Co-Chair of the Pro Bono and Community Service Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (“AABANY”), and was Co-Executive Editor of AABANY’s recent paper: A Rising Tide of Hate and Violence Against Asian Americans in New York During COVID-19 – Impact, Causes, Solution. Karen has been recognized by multiple organizations, including the Federal Bar Council and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, for her pro bono work on behalf of Asian police officers, survivors of domestic violence, students with learning disabilities, and victims of gun violence. For her day job, Karen is a skilled trial attorney and advocate, representing clients in federal and state courts across the country, and before U.S. regulators. She has more than 20 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, BSA/AML and OFAC compliance and enforcement matters, securities litigation and regulation, internal investigations, and strategic advice. Karen received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Yale University. She speaks Mandarin.
