Chris Marlin is Founder and President of Lennar International, a division of Lennar Corporation (NYSE: LEN) that facilitates foreign direct investment in Lennar’s U.S. real estate platform by matching foreign capital with Lennar’s varied real estate interests, including project level debt and equity and asset dispositions. Lennar International also serves as Lennar’s global engagement arm, marketing and selling Lennar homes in the U.S. to buyers throughout the world. As President, Marlin leads Lennar’s international sales and global engagement efforts. Marlin is a leading commentator on cross border investments between the United States and Asia, Latin America, and Europe, and has been a featured speaker at a variety of global forums and events, including the Boao Forum for Asia, the International Stock Exchange Executives Emeriti Association, and MIPIM – the world’s leading property market. Chris has appeared on Bloomberg’s Daybreak Asia, CNBC’s Squawk Box Asia, and Singapore’s Channel NewsAsia. Chris is a Director of the Atlantic Council and a member of A Fellowship for International Real Estate (AFIRE) and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) – a global network of chief executives. He is also a member of the Boao Forum for Asia Intellectual Network and serves as Lennar’s representative to the World Economic Forum based in Geneva. Marlin formerly served as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation at Lennar Corporation and has served as an attorney at international law firms, Holland & Knight and Foley & Lardner. He is a graduate of Emory University Law School, where he was active in the Conflict Resolution Program at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta. He has also served as an adjunct professor of constitutional law at his undergraduate alma mater, the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he is a Community Fellow of the Center for Global Economic and Environmental Opportunity.
