New York, Aug. 28, 2024 — The China General Chamber of Commerce – USA (CGCC) hosted a breakfast discussion featuring Craig Allen, President of the US-China Business Council. The event focused on pressing issues in U.S.-China relations, including tariff legislation and bilateral economic cooperation.
Wei Hu, Chairman of CGCC and President of Bank of China U.S.A., welcomed Mr. Allen and acknowledged his significant contributions to international economic and trade exchanges over the past four decades.
Mr. Allen emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations, noting the positive impact of Chinese companies on employment, technology, and supply chain improvements in the United States. He also engaged in a discussion with CGCC members about the potential effects of recent tariff and investment bills on sectors such as consumer goods, biotechnology, technology, and energy.
