On February 1st, 2020, CGCC Foundation sponsored Asia Society’s “Family Day: Moon Over Manhattan! Celebrate Lunar New Year 2020” event held at the Asia Society and Museum in Manhattan. The annual day-long cultural event provided children and their families with the opportunity to learn about different Lunar New Year traditions through performances, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational workshops.
This year’s event featured a traditional Lion Dance performance, a music performance by “Rabbit Days and Dumplings,” and arts and crafts including ceramic rat making, shadow puppet making, Korean face mask making, and Tibetan butter sculpture making.
CGCC Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Asia Society and to those CGCC members who attended the event. CGCC Foundation will continue to make active contributions to the communication and promotion of Chinese culture in the United States.
