TWU Local 100 is a local (or chapter) of the Transport Workers Union of America, a union that represents transportation workers in bus and subway lines, and several airlines nationwide.

The Local primarily represents 41,000 workers in the New York City public transportation system and at some private bus lines serving the New York City metropolitan area.

CGCC and CGCC Foundation are sincerely grateful to all public transportation employees who continue to risk their lives throughout the pandemic. The chamber hopes that this donation of 50,000 masks will help to better protect these workers as they continue to transport frontline responders.

CGCC’s donation of 50,000 surgical masks to Transport Workers Union Local 100 is part of the chamber’s larger ongoing  U.S. Medical Supply Donation and Information Sharing Effort which officially began back in early March.

As of June 3rd, CGCC and CGCC Foundation, together with its regional chapters and member companies, have donated 3,853,999 pieces of personal protective equipment to more than 50 hospitals and clinics, and more than 20 government agencies in 21 states across the U.S.
