As the corporate world navigates the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, it also faces increased risks of bribery and corruption. In early April, CGCC member company DLA Piper published an article titled “COVID-19: A breeding ground for corruption − monitoring key risks,” discussing these increased risks of bribery and corruption under the current COVID-19 pandemic and encouraging companies and their compliance departments to proactively identify likely risk areas.
